I love taking headshots. It's the same feeling I get when I'm working with high school seniors, except any age! It's that one on one, let's get down to the nitty gritty know each other comfort level, let's do this feeling that I enjoy!
Today as I look out my window to the snow, I'm thinking warmer thoughts, thoughts from fall when short sleeve shirts were still comfortable and the sun gives it warm glow that I adore!!
Thought I'd re-live some of my fall sessions, starting with this handsome guy getting some headshots!
Cameron is in high school here in Pittsburgh, and I came to know his mom through some mutual relationships and my kids' school theater program. I was thrilled when she reached out to me to schedule a headshot session for his son who goes to a theater arts school in the area.
Immediately, Cameron and I hit it off, talking about favorites shows (I am a huge fan of musicals!) and what he's been able to still do amidst the craziness of this pandemic.
Bright eyes, incredible smile, charisma you can feel, it was a joy to get to work with Cameron on his headshots. He has such a love for others and a passion for his work, that it was exciting to be around him!
I also loved chatting up his mom during the session, realizing we have many people & interests in common! I was so grateful to read her sweet words following the session:
"Our family shared your post and the response is overwhelming. Cameron wanted me to thank you for him. He said these are the best photos he has ever seen of himself. He is beyond grateful and now is confident sending out a headshot for potential jobs. He is sending something out for a Netflix show and feels more excited now that he has these to send. Those kind of words and feelings are 100% why I LOVE what I get to do. The fact that I can play a small role in drawing out confidence and joy in someone truly makes my heart content beyond compare. It is a privilege that I don't take lightly!
